Dear Respected Members of the Community,
As-Salaamu ‘Alaikum.
I want to start by saying how grateful I am for everyone’s support and participation at this 41st Bangladesh Independence Day parade, which took place on March 31 and April 1, 2012 in Los Angeles, California, USA. If it was not for all of you, it would not have been so successful.
On behalf of the Bangladesh Unity Federation of Los Angeles (BUFLA), I want to show my deepest gratitude to; All members of the Bangladesh community, BUFLA Executive Committee, Board of Trustees, Advisory Council, Cabinet members, Journalist, Artist, Volunteers, Sponsors, Donors, Vendors, all the Sub Committee members and the Media.
Special thanks to Bangladesh Consulate General, Deputy Consulate General and Staff, The City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department. Also I would like to thank the Chief Guests, Grand Marshalls and special guests who had came from other parts of the world to participate and make this event a success.
I would like to thank the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and all other Dignitaries who had sent the powerful greetings for the Souvenir, including the Lieutenant Governor of California and Roushanara Ali, Member of Parliament (MP) of the UK and Shadow Minister of the International development.
