2. Discussion regarding new position for new cabinet (Joint Secretary/Organizing Secretary  and Cultural Secretary).

3. Discussion on   show cause notice for Mr. Ismail Hossain.

4. Discussion on BUFLA planning for next 6 months (up to Dec-2009) .

The following amendments proposed and discussed in the meeting:

Dr. Mahbub Khan, Chairman, Advisory Council, has been unanimously approved by the EC to coordinate amendment propositions by EC members.

Major (Retd) Saif Kutubi pointed out that Amendment can only be set for vote in a General Assembly meeting as stated in the constitution. Therefore, the amendment will be presented before the EC/AC/BOT in the next General Assembly meeting. Other amendment issues discussed as follows;

2.   Agenda 2:

Discussion regarding new position for new cabinet (Joint Secretary/ Organizing Secretary and Cultural Secretary).

Additional 2 positions for BUFLA Cabinet, Joint Secretary and Cultural Secretary have been discussed. This issue has also been included in the amendment propositions.

3.   Agenda 3:

Discussion on show cause notice for Mr. Ismail  Hossain.

Dr. M. A. Hashem, former President initiated a motion on a resolution seconded by Dr. Shah Alam as stated below;

“  Muldhara President Mr. Ismail Hossain will be suspended from BUFLA for 60 days as ruled in the last BUFLA EC meeting due to his non-response to Show-Cause notice in over 30 days.”

After a discussion and a brief debate the motion went for vote.

          9 votes cast for suspension 

          2 votes cast against suspension 

Final verdict:

Mr. Ismail Hossain has been suspended from BUFLA for 60 days.

Mr. Majib Siddiquee, has announced his resignation from the position of BOT Chairman. He instead intended to be reverted to EC member position through his organization Bangladesh Association of California (BAC).

4.   Agenda 4

Discussion on BUFLA planning for next 6 months (up to Dec-2009).

BUFLA programs will be posted on the BUFLA website and will also be announced in the GA meeting.

A General Assembly Meeting has been planned to be held on

Date: 06 September 2009 (Later changed to September 13, 2009)

            BUFLA Ifter & Doa Mahfil will ensue.

Time: 4 PM 8 PM

Venue: Shatto Recreation Center

5.   Miscellaneous.

Meeting was adjourned by the President at 5:55 PM.
