ii-c) Fund raising
For fund raising, Omar Huda
suggested all attendees to contact about 30 people each, making it a total of
about 1000 people, who then can contribute $30 each, making it a total of
$30,000. A very few people raised their hands to volunteer to contact 30
people.
At this point, Dr. Hashem proposed $100 contribution by each organization,
plus another $400 donation from within each organization, making it a total of
$500 minimum per organization. This motion was seconded by Abul
Kashem Toha, and it was
unanimously approved by the whole team.
At this point, the whole list of
organizations were discussed one by one. The Organizations in bold black
committed for Finance (F), Souvenir (S), Parade (P), and Cultural program
(C). The pledge amount is $500, $500+, and $1,000.
The committed amount, and the F-S-P-C symbols are
written at the end of the Committed organizations. The Organizations in italic
blue were either absent, or needed more time to
decide.
