Bangladesh Unity Federation of Los Angeles

BUFLA  Structural Format: 

1. Executive Committee (EC):   Formed by the Presidents and lead persons of all the Bangladeshi Organizations of the greater Los Angeles area.

2. Advisory Council (AC):   Formed by the Community members who have earned recognition by serving the community in the past, and/or are currently active in community activities, but are not currently leading any organization.

3. Sub-Committees:  To address various specific needs of the community, as described in Functional format.

BUFLA  Functional Format: 

1. Website: To list all the Bangladeshi Organizations of the greater Los Angeles area including their (a) Mission, (b) Executive Committee (EC), (c) Contact information, and (d) their upcoming events. Also maintain a Community Calendar, which can help all the Organizations to avoid the overlap of any major events in the community.

2. Annual Joint Event:  All organizations to observe and celebrate together one day in a year as a Joint event.

3. Functional Sub-Committees: (i) Community Center,  (ii) Job training,  (iii) Job finding,   (iv) Immigration help,  (v) New comers’ help,  (vi) Political Liason with Govt officials,  (vii)  Youth Activities help,  (viii) Miscellaneous (Bylaws, Website, etc…).
