" Taranga of California and California State University, Northridge jointly
hosting 2nd Nazrul Endowment & Lectureship conference on December 1st,
Saturday at CSUN San Fernando Hall. The Ambassader of Bangladesh His
Excellency Mr. Humayun Kabir will be attending the occasion as a chief
guest. Dr. Winstton Langley, Provost of Boston University who is  the first
western scholar wrote a book about Nazrul " KAZI NAZRUL ISLAM- THE VOICE OF
POETRY AND THE STRUGGLE FOR HUMAN WHOLENESS  " will be the keynote speaker.
His book published on 21st February at Dhaka by the Nazrul Institue. The day
will be also the Book publication ceremony. The other dignateries from CSUN
and the Nazrul scholar from the different part of the country will be the
speaker.

The program will start from 2pm - 9pm. Dinner & snacks will be served.
Registration is $50.00 per person, children admission is free.

Taranga urging to all Bangladeshi organisation(69) to participate this
conference and give us their full support to make it success. We, the
Bangladeshi community of Los Angeles must feel proud that CSUN is the first
University in the west who established The Nazrul Endowment Fund for Bengali
Arts & Culture AND eventually plan to establish "NAZRUL CHAIR" under the
Department of Humanities Division. WE NEED EVERYBODY'S SUPPORT.
